Midterm Madness roles into AP European History with a double tournament in December and April. This year, you will decide the participants - historical figures from 1450 to 1849 (December) and 1849 to 2001 (April).
Who will be nominated?
On December 13th, you will be assigned to one of four "thematic" teams. Each team will construct (and rank) an All-Star roster of 16 historical figures from that given theme. The themes are:
Based on that ranking system, Mr. Freccia will assign the brackets - mixing all four of the teams together for head-to-head match-ups.
Who will be upset?
In the head-to-head match-up stage, Mr. Freccia will randomly ask a member from each "team" to present three notable AP facts about that particular historical figure (without help from your teammates or notes). Once both figures are presented, the other two teams (or three once match-ups happen between the same team) will vote amongst themselves on who should advance in the tournament. If a student is unable to present a particular figure, the game goes to the challenger automatically.
